Jonathan Clark Architects are a widely published, enthusiastic and innovative practice providing a high degree of attention and expertise to each individual client. Specialising in bars / restaurants, retail and contemporary domestic. This is Highgate house, some project from Jonathan Clark Architects.

This house is a two storey Edwardian terrace.

The works comprised the complete refurbishment of the house including two new bathrooms and a new kitchen dining area to the rear. While the new decor of the main house is fairly traditional in keeping with the age of the property, the main concept for the kitchen dining area was to produce a striking modern streamlined space that also gave an illusion of greater size.

A purpose made cream leather banquette was incorporated into the new storage joinery on one side to maximise the available space while on the opposite side a mirror splashback gives those seated at the banquette a view of the rear garden. The new dining table was also specifically designed for this space.

Cream fossil limestone slabs with underfloor heating help to create a homogonous look coordinating with the cream spray lacquered joinery and the ceiling.

A mirrored wall slides across the entrance area of the space to totally separate it from the rest of the house as well as bring in more light and the garden views.

Undoboy is a graphic designer based in Portland, Oregon. He is now working for Wieden + Kennedy as an art director / senior interactive designer, after roughly a year as an art director at JWT, NY. Undoboy also spent 8 months at Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami, which as a short hop from Florida’s Ringling School of Art and Design, where he got a BFA in graphic design in 2005.

His designs embrace a simple philosophy “design brings happiness” and his work includes brand identity design, editorial design, interactive design, character design, packaging design, toy design, motion graphics, and illustration.

If you go to hospital or some clinic, you will see plain interior design. But If you go to “Skin” you will meet new world of costmetic surgery. Skin is a new cosmetic surgery in Florence, Italy. The interior, designed by Michael Young and Katrin Olina. It’s a conversion of an old building, is in the historic Borgo San Jacopo district in central Florence. I am very impress about design and wish you love it too.

Young and Olina previously collaborated on the Dr James Plastic Surgery in Taipei, Taiwan.

Some of the walls are made in Corian with CNC technology.

Young designed the interior and Olina created the artwork and decorative surfaces, which make extensive use of Corian.

Gilles Belley did just send david some pictures of their latest works about energy. It is some smart electrical accessories currently shown at the exhibition ” So Watt ! du design dans l’énergie” (So Watt ! design sheds a light on energy), Espace Electra, Paris, France. The objects propose an alternative relationship to power control. There are four different objects:- Nootan, electrical accessories range which consists of sockets, switches and plinth which reveal the electric landscape. Only a shadow of these electrical equipments is highlighted by a faint light, a naturally coloured reflection on the wall.

- Power-peg, an outlet for battery charger. An outlet that eliminates energy waste, it automatically cuts off the power supply when the devices is fully charged. Several cords can be attached to it.

- Semaphore, a warning light that provides information concerning power flow variations by changing colour, green during busy periods and orange indicate peak hours in local production. Everyone can therefore contribute by temporarily reducing one’s consumption for a collective approach to a better energy management.

- Energy saving adaptor, which reduces energy waste from the stand-by mode of electrical appliances. It automatically turns off office equipment that are left on unnecessarily.

Semaphore and the Energy saving adaptor are co-designed by the Edf design department.

He like the work and visions of Gilles Belley a lot. This is the kind of responsible design he was talking about as a contrast to the style of the Vulgarism which He described in his latest David Report bulletin. To david opinion design is more than simple styling. It is about solving problems and adding functionality to everyday life. Just like the smart electrical accessories by Gilles Belley are doing.
