Interior design is more than a career for most practitioners; it's a passion. Combining creative elements involving color, texture and shape with more functional elements such as space planning and lighting, interior design is an exciting form of expression that gives people beautiful spaces in which to live, work and play.

Our Interior Design Assistant certificate will prepare you to enter the field of interior design in support positions assisting designers, or for other management and support positions in interior design offices or related industries. The courses, scheduled during the evening or on weekends to meet the needs of those who are currently employed, are taught by working experts in the field, ensuring that you receive the important fundamentals as well as the latest trends and techniques.

You may choose from a variety of elective courses in such subjects as lighting design, quick-sketch techniques, business practices and the use of color. Courses are limited in enrollment to ensure personal attention. You can complete the program in approximately 18 months.
