Interior Design Program

If you are exploring the possibility of becoming an interior designer, you will want to consider the many benefits to our Professional Level Interior Design Program, including:

  • Open enrollment. As with all courses at UCLA Extension, you may register for your first course just prior to the beginning of any quarter throughout the year.
  • An Instructor corps made up of distinguished practicing professionals from the fields of interior design, architecture, and fine art.
  • Internship, mentorship, and job placement opportunities.
  • Flexibility in course load and class scheduling. There are day and evening courses. A full-time student enrolls in three courses per quarter and will complete the program in a little over two years. Part-time students may take one or two courses per quarter. For more details, please consult the FAQ section of this site.
  • Transfer credits. If you have taken art- and design-related courses at other institutions you may qualify for advanced standing in the program. To determine what transfer credits you may qualify for, you will need to make an appointment to meet with the Program Advisor.
