The International Academy of Design and Technology in Sacramento is creatively driven for the individualist that desires design and a technological education that's interactive, industry-driven, and highly needed for today's global marketplace. You'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in our hands-on sewing labs, ID studios and computer labs. At IADT, we design our programs to help you gain the skills you need to become successful.
The original International Academy of Design & Technology in Chicago was founded in 1977 as a postsecondary institution focusing on merchandising and design. Over 25 years later, IADT continues to respond to changes brought by technology through an expansion of its curriculum offerings and campus locations in order to meet the needs of the design and technology industries. The Sacramento campus was established in 2007 to bring these programs to the residents of California.
Interior Design Program
The Associate of Applied Science degree program in Interior Design at IADT - Sacramento is designed to prepare students for rewarding entry and assistant level positions in the interior design industry. Students are encouraged to develop original design concepts for interior spaces, and transform these concepts into practical, functional, and innovative environments to meet a client’s needs. Our talented staff of instructors help students develop new concepts and to refine their individual skills and talents. Plus, current business practices are taught to prepare students for their internships and professional careers in interior design.

- Space Planning
- Computer-aided Design
- Building Systems and Regulations
As with the other associate degree programs offered at IADT - Sacramento, graduates of this program can move on to the Bachelor level coursework for additional skill development.
