Daniel M Pafford moved from Southern Virginia to Manhattan inspired by the ideology of urban landscape as seen through classic movies from the 1940s, 50s and 60s. Movies like The Women, Dial M for Murder, All About Eve, The Trouble with Harry, and North by Northwest along with many others are a daily inspiration for unlimited imagination in his approach to interiors. As a draftsman, painter, and original designer Daniel draws on his knowledge of fine furniture, art, and architecture along with an innate ability to build and inform a space from start to finish. His interior design is a testament to the sometimes surprising relationship of opposite colors, shapes, and textures that meld to fit his clients' needs and personal collections.

Through the juxtaposition of modern and classic elements Daniel enjoys pairing 1940's French and Italian Antiques with mid-century modern classics, while sometimes adding a bold Asian flair to create a trifecta of unparalleled elegance. Personal tailoring of taste to a client's needs and wants is most important allowing an easy flow of both Daniel's vision and his client's character to boldly reflect in the outcome of the space. All of these ideals create interiors of comfortable, livable beauty that are indeed a remembrance of the way we were and the way we aspire to live.
