"Interior Design should simplify life. It can create intimacy where there was seemingly none. It can change darkness to light. It can dramatize or understate. As such, design is illusion, design changes what we see and how we see it."

Specialties

Grebmeier Design is known for their integration of Interior Design, Architecture Elements & Lighting Design.

Lighting is extremely important element and is a needed component in the overall Design Scope.

Charles works closely with the Clients, the Architect, Contractors, Vendors, Custom Workrooms and Artisan.

I listen to the clients to identify their needs for a successful project.

Firm Profile

As a native of California, I was fortunate to be surrounded by important and beautiful buildings. Born in San Francisco and raised in the Greater Bay Area, I have lived near some of the most interesting architecture and unique people in the world.

From college in urban San Jose to the beach houses of Santa Cruz, to the metropolitan streets of San Francisco where I live and work today, there is enough architectural diversity to challenge a studious mind for years. To truly live in Northern California is to need a customized living / working space that says "this is who I am and this is how I live."

"Interior Design is a Client/Designer collaboration at which neither can be as successful alone as both are together." © Grebmeier
