Ruthanne Hatfield, owner of Art of Interior Placement has focused her natural decorating creativity by transforming thousands of dramatic and affordable room redesigns across the country.
Although Ruthanne has a degree in Interior Design and Space Planning, she feels Real Estate Staging and One-Day Decorating with Existing Furnishings are the most rewarding and challenging aspects of the design profession. She derives enormous satisfaction and gratification from seeing the joy she brings to others through the artful and creative arrangement of existing furnishings in home and professional spaces, as well as expediting real estate sales with her staging services.
Ruthanne's redesigns have been featured on HGTV's Decorating Cents (episodes #1603 and #1605), as well as in numerous print publications. She is also a member of the Interior Design Society, a regular contributor to the Home & Garden section of the Napa Valley Register, and an Instructor in Continuing Education at Napa Valley College.
Ruthanne and her husband, Charlie, are highly respected IRIS Staging Instructors and IRIS Redesign Instructors, as well as published authors of IRIS in the House, a National Book Award Winner in the Home Decorating/Interior Design category. Ruthanne is also a contributor to the book, 301 Simple Things You Can Do to Sell Your Home NOW.
Ruthanne has been an active member of IRIS (Interior Redesign Industry Specialists) for many years, having served as Secretary, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairperson of the Membership Committee.
