Jeff Wardell and Claudia Sagan own of this house and container. In 2007 the couple decided to purchase a 3,200 sq. ft former Chinese laundry and tooth-powder factory in Lower Pacific Heights, San Francisco, CA.

It had a very large and column-free interior that allowed them to divide the space as they wanted. They also decided to create several cozy rooms.

The loft consists of a central kitchen, open living room and a den facing the street, while the master bedroom sits in the back. Now here’s the catch, two recycled shipping containers were lowered through an opening in the roof that wanted to maximize the daylight and showcase the art they have collected – the blue one serves as a home office, while underneath, the orange container serves as a guest room.
