Columbia College Chicago
Columbia College Chicago, founded in 1890 as the Columbia School of Oratory, is a private arts and media institution located in the South Loop of Chicago. With nearly 12,000 students pursuing degrees within 120 undergraduate and graduate programs, it is also among the largest private colleges in the United States. In 2010 Forbes Magazine listed Columbia College Chicago within their list of 600 of America’s Best Colleges. In 2009, Columbia College Chicago was ranked 252nd in the same list.
