Did you catch the premiere episode of HGTV’s new show, Home by Novogratz, on Saturday? Robert and Cortney Novogratz are a talented husband and wife design team, authors of Downtown Chic, and parents to seven kids. In their new TV series, the duo put their design skills and eclectic style to use as they take on a major renovation project in every episode. This is Great Barrington Home project and story about this project from their blog.
The family aspire to a less manicured kind of domestic bliss, where family fun comes first. Their style is an eclectic mix of unique vintage pieces with iconic modern furniture and fabulous art. The dazzling white exterior of the home evokes a child’s painting while, in the equally striking interior, bold colours combine with comfy cushions and an unfussy assortment of liveable, loveable furniture.
The open kitchen and super informal dining room-it’s all about relaxing and having fun.
Winter is our favorite time of year at the house. We love to go skiing as a family. Our entire house is heated by the fireplaces.
The clean white porch is breezy in the summer, and warm and cozy in the winter.
Robert and Cortney Novogratz printed all the photos in black and white and framed them all in the same color frame for a modern and chic take on the typical photo wall. Start in the center of the wall and watch it grow. It continues to grow, just like our life and I feel blessed every time I see it. Also a great conversation piece for guests.

The orange room – ‘Cause who doesn’t want to sleep with Madonna?
Robert and Cortney Novogratz built this platform over the pool for lounging and cannonballs. The design was inspired by the lakes and docks all over New England.
NEW TIME!! Beginning next Saturday, September 10th ‘Home By Novogratz’ will start at 9:30 EST
