he Cielito Querido Café’s name was inspired by the song Cielito Lindo, which was written in 1882 by the Mexican composer Quirino Mendoza y Cortéz. With the heritage of Mexican design as its muse, Cielito Querido Café is a stellar new coffee house in Mexico City teeming with cool. Taking its inspiration from Latin graphic design of the 20th century and the late 19th century, vintage food labels, illustrations, bold colors, and typography line the walls, creating a fabulously unique and handsome space. The work of Mexican architects and designers from Esrawe Studio, in collaboration with Ignacio Cadena, Cielito Querido Café effectively marries Latin American design tradition with chic contemporary style. With an uber hip coffee house like this, be sure to order a double café con leche and linger.
