Antonia’s understand of the exceptional and her love for refinement continue to be the core of her design philosophy. This is “Caribbean House” some of her portfolio. Antonia is a designer whose work is at once sumptuous and pristine, at least partly the result of a near mania for all manner of design. Degrees in jewelry making and interior design, plus years spent buying antiques abroad before running her own antiques store in L.A., inform her work. So does having grown up in a house with “crazy, intellectual parents, with books everywhere.” Hutt laughs at her reaction against the rooms of her childhood. “I can think of nothing worse for my mother (an economist) than that I became a decorator.” |
