The Zanotta Caveau bed by Emaf Progetti was designed in 2004. There are two versions of caveau, one of which features the bed fitted inside the base which is furnished with a hidden container/storage unit that is accessed by lifting the entire mattress with a special device making it unique in its design.

Caveau has a varnished aluminum steel frame with natural bent beech strips springing and stiffness adjusters which are inserted into nylon joints. the base and headboard are upholstered in polyurethane/dacron du pont with a non-removable internal nylon cover and a removable external cover available in a choice of fabric or leather.
